The Bible teaches us that God’s will is for every person
to come to a saving knowledge of His Son, Jesus Christ. Whether
or not you receive salvation and eternal life depends on what YOU
do with Jesus. Here is what the Bible teaches about being saved.
- Every human has sinned and, as a result every human has earned
and will suffer physical death and, if not saved, spiritual death.
Spiritual death is eternal separation from God, spending an eternity
in the lake of fire prepared for Satan and his angels.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift
of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the
left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared
for the devil and his angels
- We could do nothing by our own power to be made right with
God, so he intervened by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay
our debt and offer eternal life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not
his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world
through him might be saved.
- If you know you are a lost and condemned sinner and want to
be saved you must;
a. believe that you are a sinner
b. believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God
c. believe that Jesus Christ was crucified, buried, and rose again
the third day
d. tell God that you are sorry you are a sinner and that you want
to be saved by the free gift Jesus purchased with His blood.
Matthew 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up
straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened
unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove,
and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven,
saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of
all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins
according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried,
and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life.
